Great under the desk elliptical, if you purchase make sure you’ll use it! I’ve had the Cubii Jr for about 2-weeks and have gotten into the habit of using it on a daily basis. I did a ton of research on this product prior to purchasing as the price was fairly high and I wanted to make sure I’d use it. When it arrived I was shocked at how heavy it was! My plan was to use it during the day at my desk (I work from home on a regular basis) and move it to the TV room for the evening, that was quickly dismissed due to the weight. The one thing I noticed is when I got frustrated at work I got on the Cubii and pedaled away, after a few minutes all the stress was gone! I did have to raise my desk by 1-inch in order to use it correctly, I’m 5’4-1/2 and I couldn’t cross my legs under my desk. Your knees do go up and down, not as much as similar products but make sure your desk/table will allow for enough room for your knees to comfortably move without hitting underneath the surface.You will get a simple workout with this product, don’t expect to burn…
Wow. My legs ache I wanted to wait until my home office was set up before I wrote this review. Today is the first day that I am using my Cubii and I have to say that my legs are already getting a workout. I have my Fitbit tracker shoved into my sock and since 8:am I have already peddled 5785 steps. The machine is super quiet and I am alone in my office so I would hear the squeaking. My old machine was very noisy. If my legs ache at the lowest setting, I am kind of afraid to turn it up until I give my legs a few days to adjust. My goal is 10,000 steps a day. I really love this little machine. What I noticed first is that you peddle rather than push out (like my old machine.) Immediately after I put it together – when I first started using it – it makes an obnoxious “squeak” noise with every single rotation. The product is advertised as quiet, and I bought this for work assuming this was true. But there’s no way I can use it in an office environment when it squeaks so loudly and so constantly.EDIT: I’ve temporarily changed the rating to 3 stars, because the manufacturers reached out to me and told me this was a defective unit. They’ve sent another one, which I haven’t been able to test out yet (due to being on a business trip), so this rating may go up or down again depending on if the new unit is quiet.
